2008 Ryde State By-Election
IMSARR Spokesperson Victor Taffa has so far contested three Public elections.Included are campaign brochures and How-to-vote material, election fliers and election results.

When the sitting Member for Ryde and Deputy Premier and Transport Minister resigned from Parliament, Victor ran in the October 2008 Ryde State By-Election.
Victor contested the October 2008 Ryde State By-Election as an Independent.
"I ran in the By-Election because I was and still am opposed to Metro Rail and the Privatisation of the Electricity Industry in New South Wales" victor said.
In the Ryde By-Election Victor campaigned on the Eastwood line plan as contained in this website.
The launch of this website continues the campaign to upgrade and expand our Railways.
It is obvious that IMSARR needs to become a political force and contest the 2011, 2015, 2019, 2023 and 2027 New South Wales State elections.
While Governments will come and go, people will still need to catch a train and for those living in a suburb that is not on a Railway line, it is time that everyone was given access to a Railway line.
"One of the reasons that I live where I live in Sydney is because I live on the main Northern Railway line."
Victor would like to see more people in Sydney be able to experience the convenience of a Railway.
"We take the existing rail network for granted, but it has been left behind when it comes to expansion and upgrade"
When you have Hospitals, schools, police stations and many other facilities in every suburb and town, why can�t we have new Railway lines built?
People anywhere are welcome to Join the Campaign and get involved.The issue is too important for people to be left standing on the Platform, particularly at a railway station that does not yet exist.
When Victor ran in the 1999 and 2004 Ryde Local government elections, he received no public funding. The voting figure in the 2008 Ryde By-Election achieved by Victor was 3%. To receive public funding a candidate needs 4% first preference votes.
Victor spent in excess of AU$13,500.00 and did not receive public funding.In the 2004 election, Victor called for the abolition of public funding of elections. A good democracy does not need publicly funded elections.
New Railway lines could be built if elections were not publicly funded.
